Location: Emporium, 1000 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley

The client brief was to create a sophisticated yet homely space for female fashion with a “New York” edge. Traditional plaster and timber mouldings have been used for skirtings, dado rails, wall panelling and cornices. The perimeter of the shop is crisp white with the guts of the store contrasting in a dark stained joinery and natural parquetry flooring. This neutral palette enables the clothes to act as the feature within the store.

Custom designed ornate guilded mirrors near the change rooms add a sense of richness to the space, while the white powdercoated hanging rails suspended from the ceiling and joinery blend away and create a greater sense of space within the small fitout. The project has been done in conjunction with Patricia Szonert.
